The best classes in 0.3.0 are Deadeye, Witch and Sorceress .... again .... seriously?

Witch wipes the campaign. Its POE2 on easy mode.

Sorceress slightly behind witch with infusions, casting.

Deadeye, Lightning arrow annihilates act 1 and never stops.

Why cant GGG ever get this? Why cant they make monk actually fun to play or melee huntress or warrior? Every bloody patch its those three. Even the last league it was lightning arrow, they just renamed it lightning spear and it did basically the same thing.

Play anything but those 3 and you are skiing uphill in a blizzard.

Idk I've been having a pretty easy go of it with Monk so far. Act 1 was slow just getting it going, but once I switched over to Hollow Palm the damage started scaling a lot faster than it was when I was struggling to find decent staves. We'll see how it plays out later I guess though

That wont scale. Hollow palm is a 3 afix rare. Its a gimick. Its a rare with phys damage, crit chance and attack speed. You could roll those on a rare or unique and also roll three more afixes. There are also no supporting unarmed nodes.

Nice animation, nice eye candy, no power.

Yeah I'm pretty skeptical about how it lands later on the higher end of things, but I'm committed at this point. Fortunately it's not an ascendancy so I can just switch back to a stave if it starts to suck. I'm just enjoying punching/kicking everything right now lol.

Not my experience at all. Drop an ice crystal, dodge roll so you are behind the mob, and it is between you and the ice crystal. Hit the mob and the ice crystal at the same time. Everything dies. Do it twice with rares. I killed Geonor before he could start the poetry phase.

Because the entire mob design is based around ranged characters, allowing for constant movement and shooting, once you go from full melee to a ranged on WASD, you will see how few mobs can actually hit you. You can just backpedal or circle around things, and it breaks their AA. Melee does not have that option.

Tale as old as time. D3 tried to implement WASD movement, and they removed it within a couple of patches. Why? For the same reason. There is no way to make a game challenging for both melee and ranged when you have a Demon Hunter (D3) strafe stepping on D3 when melee has to plant and attack.

After that, you have two options. Either the game is piss easy on melee because their defences are so high to compensate for the massive damage increase they are taking from having to plant and eat auto attacks. Or you have to make so that ranged characters can not move while shooting/casting, so they have to do the same tradeoff for damage vs getting swarmed.

These are age-old problems, which is why no ARPG has attempted this since D3 tried it.

They won't solve this problem until they make one of those trade-offs. Or they go the route of D3 and "melee" becomes effectively a short to mid-range caster, and the melee fantasy is completely stripped from the game.

and i have been having an easy time with warrior thorughout the campaign. Too easy for my taste. bosses need buffs.

Are the complainers even playing the classes?

melee is already basically that, minus the ability to move around. most of the abilities are ranged or have massive AOE.
Also there is no chance they will ever remove wasd gaming
