Trying to enjoy trade league for the first time after only playing SSF since release.

I have no way of knowing this is the most over hyped league ever since i never played trade before. I started playing POE2 when it was released in SSF. It is why i asked the question in my original post. I do plan on starting out in trade the next league. I switched to trade 2 months into this league to try it vs quitting all together. This league is 3.5 month old and based on GGG it sounds like there is still 1.5 months to go.

It still doesn't explain folks selling items at the end of a league for super inflated prices when those items will vanish in 6 weeks when a new league starts. The rarity of the mirror doesn't really factor in to the math.

They dont vanish, they go to standard "remove-only" tabs and more importantly earnings go there too.
You talk about mirrors, an ascendancy carry was 2 divs last league, i saw people asking 60 divs this league.
Everyone is disgustingly rich because of temple/abyss/others and everything cost 3x or more compared to past leagues, divines are so common that we went from div per hour to mirror per day.

The big issue is the really bad crafting / gambling system that is currently in the game. In trade league i can pretty much ignore crafting and grind currency. If the crafting system were more deterministic vs what it is now, i would probably go back to SSF.

I only play SSF, i started in 0.2 before the changes to drop rate.
The main problem i have to face in SSF is the extreme rarity of purple rituals omens. I can probably count on one hand (max 2) the amount i got in 2.5k hours and i've done really a lot of rituals because it's my favorite activity in the game.
(I find the rest of crafting way better since 0.3 with the essences changes and the abyss. Give more determinism, even if not perfect, but grindable.)

That being said, thoose omens are mostly needed if you want to craft what you are trying to buy, a mirror tier weapon. So most likely T1 on every affixes.

The question you might want to ask you is "do you need a mirror tier weapon to complete the game?" Because i asked this to myself as well when i was getting upset of not having T1 on my gears.

I'm not very good at the game and i could complete my atlas point in every pinnacle content and arbiter with my SSF gear that have at best T2 in some affix and T3 on the others.
I dont die on maps either.

I know we are all different but maybe you can just buy something cheaper in trade league and still have fun and complete the game?

I know it sound like you need thoose when you watch videos and other people destroying the game, but really you dont. In SSF or in trade doesnt matter, the game stay the same.

Try to find a good middle spot where you have fun, it's the only thing that matter.

Some ppl what those gg items on standard for their standard toons,
Content isn't really an issue on SSF. The end game content currently other than Uber Arbitor is fairly easy. I have not done Uber Arbitor. Doing no portal juiced maps without dying is another issue all together unless you can optimize your gear.

I also enjoy exploring build diversity and min/ max'ing which this game has alot of. You really can't do that on SSF if you are an average player. I am also at a point now where i have enough divines that i could explore a different build. I was never really able to do that on SSF.

I guess after research i could have answered my original post on my own. It seems GGG let this economy go to shit from week 1 due to abyss and temple mechanic abuse and the players who didn't participate got left with an hyper inflated economy that GGG decided not to fix.

Each league economy goes broken sooner or later. No matter league mechanics, no matter what ggg do, no matter exploits, no matter botfarms. Its inevitable part of trade and the only thing that`s different is a baseline. This league baseline was way higher but it doesn`t necessarily mean it got more broken than 0.3 or 0.2.

This topic goes way beyond simple mirror/div ratio. For example this league got a lot positive feedback because finally people were able to use divs as divs, not currency. Average player was capable of trying out of reach items like headhunter because market was flooded with non corrupted versions of them.

Its a lie that only way of becoming rich was joining temple madness. Yeah, it was kinda disgusting but thanks to temple popularity rest of mechanics got way more profitable than usual. There were also farm strats this season (fe omen of light) that printed money just as temple and were viable thanks to temple(abyss tablet drops). And ofc we cannot forget about hideout warriors.

Also i`m not even sure what do you expect from GGG to do in such situation. It`s easy to complain but realistically their choices are bad. If they remove farmed currency from people who built temple already, it will be unfair towards them because it wasn`t a bug and they did i legit. If they nerfhammer temple, late joiners will be fucked even more and league broken even more. So the best choice is to "let it be" and test how does inflated economy work for a game. We are in ea so i`m completely fine with them testing baselines as should people opinion you copied.

Temple or no temple, if you join trade league 2 months deep you are way behind anyways.

Funny story, the RNG gods or GGG read my post and for about 320 Divines i got lucky and was able to craft the bow i wanted. It has 100% surpassing vs 200% but i am not going to quibble. I am pretty happy.

I am actually numb. I found a magic level 82 base with one mod surpassing tier 3. So i did what i normally do i hit it with a perfect augment and hit tier 1 physical and almost fell over. I used and essence to get tier 3 phys damage. I used an omen to get my quiver bonus for the last prefix(I have a perfect quiver). I used a perfect exalt thinking this is gonna fail lol and i hit mana leech which i wanted. Last perfect exalt i hit attack speed and was sad. I bought one whittling and 1 erasure knowing the attack speed was the lowest mod. I used a perfect chaos orb and fucking hit +5 projectiles on the first try. I almost fell over.

I spent 180 divines rerolling until i hit 40% on quiver and 100% on surpassing.
