0.4.0i Patch Notes

an Early access game whit zero changes mid league lol , Devs at this point if thats how u treat the game just Release it there is no point in holding in to Early access .
Also Dont think we dont notice when POE1 league start all of a sudden poe2 has more lags .
u seems to forget that many poe2 players dont play and dont care about poe 1.

I went all in for POE 2 existing and now I find POE 1 the better game. Still not the best. LE and D4 are making moves that matter while GGG hides behind "early access" that sits idle for 5 months+.

yeap exatly that is the annoying part is that it feels like they are sitting "idle " for months
i mean poe2 has obvious issue with damage.. both incoming on +4 bosses and outgoing being way too high. i think "inverting resists" was a huge mistake that needs to be removed asap
but overall the game-play itself its fantastic, especially during camping and early mapping

the idea that "the devs are doing nothing for 5 months" is kinda absurd...
they're working on act 5 and 6. and the new class. games take a while
this like like in ps2 days where you could push games out in a single year

but not to get one update for the 0.4 season in 5 months is still pretty disappointing.
not really?
like its a season.. the only thing they should be fixes are Balancing skills and fixing major issues like the temple.

yes i do have an issue with them NOT fixing balance issues because its "mid season"
because its terrible for the long term health of a game and not doing say causes tremendous power creep.

there should be no "content updates" though.

if anyone curious as to why NOT nerfing op things mid is bad and causes massive power creep. i'll explain below.

a large amount of players.. will gravitate to the "strongest" or "most efficient" thing in the game.. this happens regardless if they like playing It, they may even HATE it.. but because its "efficient" and they want to "compete" its a thing that's done by those people who feel they have to prove something and don't just play the game for fun.

a side effect of this issue is the fact that. you get a LARGE number of players playing the "broken" thing.

and the effect of that is.. not all of them maybe not even a majority will ever
realize that said thing isn't intentional and is WAY too strong.
this causes people to think " since I've played with this for 5 months " clearly its not an issue they thought needs fixing" clearly this is acceptable.
this is how it should be.

and eventually that type of thinking gets people asking to be as strong and gets other classes that strong.

until the next broken thing happens
and it starts again..
and over time.. over the lifespan... damage goes up.. and up. and up.. until entire screens are exploding.. there is no dodging, no positioning, no prep or combos.. just exploding screens

and then if your player can explode the screen.. the monster damage needs to go up too else its too easy.

until everything is a massive glass cannon and u get diablo 3

this is why mid season or even mid week nerfs are NEEDED for the long term heath of a game.

without them power creep will spiral as higher and higher damages because accepted as "ok" when stronger things aren't nerfed and epople don't get the immediate feedback that " this isn't ok, this wasn't intended"

They should stop with seasonal content. Fix issues with what exists in the game, add the core stuff when it is done(classes/weapons/acts), and keep improving the existing game. Patches should be on the regular, with players able to test changes. EA should be a period of feedback, back and forth, between player and dev. The game should be getting better every week.

Instead we get nothing for months. No acknowledgement of our feedback. And then a giant "season patch" comes out that just brings a bunch of new problems. Had they treated this properly they might be much closer to an official release, launching "season 1" at 1.0 with something new that drums up tons of hype.

I don't understand why they would have gone with a seasonal release cycle when the game isn't done.
i think i'll be back in this game when it full release. appreciate the current game is really not easy.

whens new league coming
