40/40 feedback
" Hey I'd love for you to tell me exactly why this feedback is a problem, even if the author plays or specializes in one build? Even though that isn't true. Must you purposely shoot yourself in the foot by forcing yourself into a "weak build" in order to have a valid opinion on the game? What kind of sense does that make? Is a player not allowed to play the same thing he enjoys each league? He isn't skipping anything. And if you play the same, or a similar build each league, then you can actually compare leagues BETTER because you basically have the same experience from a character building and power standpoint. All that's left is to see how the game itself feels from league to league while doing the same thing. Highlighting the differences specifically in the game feel, rather than being obfuscated by a different character. Now if someone specializing in one type of build, such as minions, starts ripping their mouth off about bow builds that they have never made.....maybe your point would hold some kind of weight. But that isn't here. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Mar 19, 2026, 6:37:03 PM

" Well I do agree with you to some extent. Rather, I agree that challenges as a concept should be real challenges, not boring, mindless grindfests. However, I do not believe that is remotely possible in the current environment. Furthermore, the OP which my original reply addressed, was complaining that "challenges this league are too easy". But the boring grindfest isn't something that happened this league - it's been like that for a very long time. And, should GGG stumble upon this post and take it seriously (supposedly), all it says is there was an issue with challenges THIS specific league - which no, is not the issue. This league reduced the grind of previous leagues and I think that's a great thing. I understand what kind of challenges you want and it is something I would fully support, IF it were feasible. Which it is not. The system would need to fundamentally change before any beneficial changes can be made, and I don't see that happening, nor would I frankly want it to be a priority since there are so many other things that need work in this game. You're all stuck on the "no but they're called challenges so they should be challenging" that's pretty bs to be honest. They could be called anything no one really cares. There's people who do it because they think 40/40 makes you cool and interesting (it really doesn't and no one cares), people who are completionists and do it for completion's sake, and people who want the MTX. And then there's GGG who wants to prolong play time with these challenges. I personally just want the MTX and couldn't give less of a shit about challenges as a concept. But if the MTX is to be gated behind these so called challenges, and my choices are grindy shit or less grindy shit, I'll take the latter. As to why I play this game - it shocks me that I even have to say this (and so many times at that!) but no, I don't think POE should be about braindead grinding. I have a lot of fun in this game by doing the exact opposite. There are so many ways to play the game and so many interesting things you can do AND make a lot of currency while doing it. I consider my playstyle to be anything but grinding, since I almost never do something I don't want or like doing (with very few minor exceptions i.e. the campaign). I'm not a "run the most profitable strat by doing the same thing 8hrs a day for 7 days" and I make enough to afford almost any upgrade I want considering I play at a casual/decent pace (i.e. NOT 8 hrs a day). For example today in ~5hrs of play I made around 70 divs - and yes I know that's nowhere near pro "mirror/hour" level, but it's more than enough to get a build that can run any content. I didn't intend for this post to be this long, but it really irks me that SO many people think POE = lots of boring, mindnumbing grind. It does NOT have to be like that. You do NOT have to run 100 breach dunes to make currency (unless ofc that's something you enjoy and want). So many people have this mentality that you have to do X and Y or you won't make enough of a profit and that is absolutely untrue. So, to answer your question - I play this game and have a lot of fun with it precisely because I don't treat it like a second job where I need to grind 10 hrs for 5 mins of fun. POE is NOT grindy shit and if you play it like it is, that's entirely on you. |

" You need at least an authentic account to make me care about your opinion. Also it makes no sense to only play automatic hitting builds where you can stay safely away to kill your enemies and also talking about that this game has no real challenge. Thats about it. In the end we have everytime the same guys talking about this and most of you have just private accounts. I´m not saying that its wrong to play just one build you enjoy but it gets annoying if you judge everything on that while want changes that affect everyone else. " Most funny is I played RF and KB last league in Keepers trade, and multi minion in SSF Ruthless keepers, but people say "one build", or "go play ruthless" - like... been there, done that, lol. So no point arguing with those who lack real argument other than ad personam (especially when they play only one build this league themselves). So I basically ignore this kind of bait. Edit: Reminds me of irl colleague I played with, he complained I play RF or cyclone "again" when I played it two leagues in a row, sometime in Legacy or Abyss, I don't fully remember. About the challenges - sadly, there is no challenge in "challenges" indeed. I feel like we're getting less and less of those in recent leagues, game basically diablofies, getting simpler for the masses. I assume GGG is trying to compete with Blizzard for customers by dumbing PoE down. Biggest compliments for my crafted items - "bs, they must have been RMT'ed" I'm disabled, I have rare case of semperduravera, so I can write things that may look rude, but it is because of disability - I'm forced to tell truth using words you may not like. " Mmm glad to get a little insight into your shortcomings. Discarding the validity of other posts as often as you get a chance without bothering to read them I guess is your past time? Why should your posts be held in any higher importance than others if you can't be bothered to read them and pre-judge based on nothing. Gotta love folks like that.
