I hate the changes to chaos orb. you destroyed the economy imo.
" That's good advice. You mentioned Elder/Shaper/Conqueror maps multiple times so I want to focus on that part. If the idea is to get stronger so you move up the supply chain, what does one do with the aforementioned maps? Do people farming Elder/Shaper/Conqueror guardians use Maven, or are they keeping with altars for other farms they may be running parallel with them? I want to assume you switch to Maven for chisels and astrolabes. Additionally, what's above the supply chain after guardians? Their respective pinnacles, I assume? PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! The others found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on juice. I am not so foolish. Last edited by Pizzarugi#6258 on Mar 17, 2026, 5:49:22 PM

" I've stopped doing that because the responses are generally very negative. I'll give you one though because you specifically asked. Also, cavexs' approach is the correct one. Especially as a non-top-end player you want to be a "supplier". You look at what top-end players require for their strats(for example: maven chisels, astrolabes, mirage influenced maps) and you build a strat around those items. My current filler strategy is exactly that. Scarabs: awak, terror, 3x domination. Layout: haunted mansion. Maps: regular T16s, as much quantity as you can handle.
Tree (drop deli):
![]()
Loot snippets from 20 maps
![]() ![]() ![]() TL;DR: Click shrines => slap bosses => click mirage => click shrines => slap more bosses. Edit: If the awakening bosses are too much simply replace them with another domination scarab. If you're omega geared run this in nightmare maps and replace a domination scarab with pandemonium. " Scarletsword mentioned it already. You hope for Chissels and Astrolabs, some gems and orbs from invitations. It is usually a boss rush strategy so in my opinion the next step to this would be t17 boss rush. Honestly you can even skip that guardianrush and go straight to t17 because with the dextral and the sinistral scarab they are way easier than the guardians in 8mods. However be creative at that point. Most efficient strategies are always the ones you find yourself before someone else with a lot of audience discovers them. :-) |

Well as a summoner main, bossing is definitely something I'm better built for so either your, or Scarletsword's, advice would work for me I think.
" And that's fair, which is why I wasn't asking what specifically people are doing this league since you'd want to keep it secret. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

" Tbh I didn't figure anything out yet that impressed me. Last league I was pairing delirium with blight to match a simulacrum almost every map I made (around 4mins per, 2 explosions with blight and 9 stacks of deli at least). Didn't even use expensive scarabs but got me 2-3 mirrors with that. This league I was just bossrushing all the way through because red altar is pretty weak and made sure to always have the 8mod scarab activated no matter what I do. Either to sell or run myself. I think strongboxes are in a very good spot if you run them on juiced maps(but really terrible early on). You can also watch milkybk or other streamers that test a lot of endgamestrategies that you can then copy. But you don't need any of the crazier strats to get your mageblood and some viable gear after a week or two even with a full time job and stuff to do around. To name what I think is the most common mistake: Just make sure to always be fast as long your content is not juiced. If you cannot run a t16 below 3-4 minutes with nothing but altars and one simple mechanic just go down tiers and run expedition, legion, essences or whatever fits your build in lower tier maps. |

Geez, Expedition and Legion are so clunky and outdated I pity the guys who actually run them. Not to mention that Expedition is probably the hardest mechanic for next to no return.

" Expedition should be on the top of the list for a decent buff, as it is imo one of the best designed league mechanics. Compared to recent league mechanics this mechanic is one of those big ones that outshine others and are really fun to play and personally i like the flavour of expedtion much more than breach, legion or ritual e.g. And it is certainly not free money compared to door opening. The monsters in exp and logbooks can get pretty hard. Overtuned bosses are part of the mechanic. When it comes to Expedition i say it doesn't get better than that. So, why shouldn't it be more rewarding? Why shouldn't Gwennen MB farm or Tujen Mirror shard farm be a thing again? I would play Expedition if it would be only ever so slightly worse than the most popular and profitable mechanics, but it is way worse rn. |

Expedition is hands down the worst designed league mechanic. It does not have anything unique associated with it apart from the ward gear, which is still extremely niche despite numerous attempts to buff it.
You either need to have an extremely strong character who can fight against multiple immunities (basically, only tri-elemental ones) or waste time putting the pilons. And even then you might get bottlenecked because of a lack of reroll currency. Oh wait, you can buy them? Then you get bottlenecked by the rarest artifact which you cannot buy from anywhere and need to farm. Consequently, the best stuff is locked behind it. And let's not forget how 50% of the encounters are gonna be worthless because of Rog/Gwennen. And how the mechanic is so big and ugly you need to force it out of your maps if you don't do it. This is just scratching the surface by the way, Expedition is so bad pages can be written about it. Last edited by Johny_Snow#4778 on Mar 17, 2026, 8:51:49 PM

" Not even disagreeing. Especially with scarabs. However I wrote go down in tiers and do legion or expedition. And with that I meant tier 5 maps. I did that whenever my character was not strong enough for red maps early league. Why? Because rog can still craft ilvl86 bases and divines are divines even if I would never call that anything more than getting started until 6link or whatever you need to do so. Pretty wild take to think expedition needs a buff
Tujen specifically has needed a massive nerf since his release Mash the clean
