[3.28] The HoT-Auto-bomber-Zoomancer | 1 Button | Tanky and Boss viable

looking forward to it. im currently running it and it goes well but i went double reservation on the timeless, doesnt work otherwise. Also has big weakness to ignite, bleeding and corrupted blood, had to get implicit for CB and ~50% chance to avoid bleed and ignite on the abyss jewels to deal with it. There are some expensive corrupted belts that make the jewel boost to ~120% so going less than 50% chance to avoid is viable. Biggest downside is the curse not being automated. Armour is another weakness. Bloodline, fortress runegraft and the mastery nodes don't get quite enough boost just from turtle and some minor flat from abyss. Would need another source of flat so those increases feel more relevant. Giving up a ring for something else might be a thing as i didnt feel any significant increase in damage after i put the second ring but i did feel the decrease in sustain as you double the dmg taken. Another thing, immortal call is quite inconsistent as it doesnt have anymore the duration support

im currently considering putting curses on a curse on hit setup with tendrils or just removing curses alltogether- using "sin lord" spectre to curse for the build combined with ylfebans trickery from AG.

Other then that good feedback, working out the kinks is why I need to play the setup myself. Currently starting to buy gear for it^^.

Possibly I'll swap out Steelskin for immortal call, should help with bleed and consistency. In terms of flat armour I'd recommend it either as a shield hybrid and the abyssal jewels, which should provide ample flat

Having so much fun with this build! Thanks so much for putting it together. The gambling with skill imbues and volatile uniques have been so fun this league. (helm implicits do seem straight up better they just dont exist yet)

Hello, can I please ask when the crit version may be ready? Sadly, Timeless Jewel for non-crit version is too expensive:/

Oh it's already close to finished since yesterday! I've posted it in the discord and was waiting for eventuall feedback. I'll post the pob today :)
Hello. I'm waiting for it too.

In the meanwhile, I'm trying the life version. Does the hit from the rings helps with the flask prefix? If not, why is "charges gained when hit by enemy" the BIS prefix?

ES version is now finishd and will be put into the guide. The gained when hit by an enemy is very strong because most enemies multi hit in poe. That means 1 spell has 4-6 independent "hits". Even with evasion etc. Being hit by spells will provide great uptime.
hey can i do this w inqvisitor?)
Possibly? The biggest problem would be that your lvl 1-4 spell needs to be able to shock enemies so you can clear the screen. Furthermore the build uses ailment scaling as main dmg source and you wouldn't be able to do that without the witch node. I'd guess it would be doable but clunky. Since herald doesn't benefit from nodes on inquisi majorly, neither crit nor pen.

Hello there :).
First of all: i like your guide! It seems you went the "non-glascannon" way. I will probably go for your version too!

I currently started HoT too. FastAF and Magefist nearly made videos for HoT at the same time. While FastAF uses an insane budged i decided to go for Magefist. I wanna talk about some other way to scale HoT since i dived deeply into the archetype.

First of all i currently play a crit basedInquisitor version with Scornful Herald Support. Its not really hard for Inquis to cap crit. Different ways of scaling are no more, since a level 3 Scornful Herald provides 12% FLAT CRIT!

For my version (kinda hybrid version from magefist, credits to him - and some others from PoE ninja i regularly looked up).

While Elementalist scales non-damiging ailment effect, the inquisitor goes raw power with lots of crit multi and gem level.
Besides that Elementalist can go and scale the gem quality with Ashes of the Stars and Crest of Desire (i never PoB*ed that version and will compare a non-crit HoT with insane hitrate vs my pure crit multi version).

While comparing these two i tell you how inquisotor does it:
- Consecrated Ground provides easy sustain for the incoming hits from HoT
- decent STR-INT ratio provides A LOT of crit chance
- besides that our 100% crit just ignores enemy resistancen, therefore we dont use offensive curses, exposure or other ways to reduce enemy resistances
- the tree location from inquis provides a lot of decent budged damage from Divine Judgement, Counterweight and Spiritual Aid on the left top side of the tree

Since most of us play Annihilating Light we need to mitigate the resistance penalty. I went for Prismatic Heart in Large Cluster and a defensive Mageblood Flask setup (you dont need Mageblood) its just HUGE QoL.

Other than that this version scales damage and defenses with all charges:
Endurance Charges from Enduring composure to feed Immortal Call.
Frenzy Charges from Cold Snap to feed Phase Run.
Power Charges to scale damage and be 120% sure to be crit capped from Disciple of the Forbidden and a possible eldritch implicit from the helm.

While HoT does not scale with spell damage we focuse on Lightning and Elemental damage.

Herald Cluster with AoE and a Oriaths End will do the clear.

I also tried to move the shock gloves out of the build, but it was not worth it.

Foulborn Coming Calamity provides some QoL too. We free up the socket for more crit multi and we get a free +2 to socketed herald gems. This not only scales HoT but also gives our Scornful Herald Support another WHOPPING +4% flat crit with 2 levels!!!!!!

With these things in mind you go with a "Chill cluster" to provide insame damage scaling with Hypothermia and Snowstorm for extra damage against chilled enemys.

The list of QoL for Inquisitor is huge. Nice regen, easy crit cap and some open points in the tree for possible "Instant Leech", Shockscaling or more Life in general.

My current version isnt finished yet. There are a shit ton of upgrades:
Empower Level 4
21/23 gems
big corruptions on body armour
Switching Switching Light of Meaning from Chaos Res to Lightning Damage
Double double elevated boots for more tailwind and onslaught

The list will be endless.

My current version holds the most HoT DPS for Inquis on PoE Ninja with just level 97.

For everyone with some questions feel free to ask!

Budged for the version i right now posted: Mageblood and estimated 150-200d.
Gear is all selfcrafted.

The purpose of this build was "lazy-astrolabe-syndicate" - so yeah... overkilled it a bit :).

For everyone to check out on PoE Ninja:
OldManRunningFast
Or set filter to Inquis and HoT and find my old man in the list :).

Cheers!!!
