[Feedback] Continental Atlas: Why Atlas Needs Physical Borders

this is more "let us trudge through shit!" recommendations... Hard pass, very few of us liked doing maps/things we didn't want to do, now you put a pinacle boss after a HUGE amount of maps instead of from a few fragments?

The problem with the continent suggestion is, if you don't like one or two biomes and the next continent happens to roll either of them, you're absolutely screwed until you complete it and find another.


Every continent could be designed with varying regions, just like real life. There can be mountainous regions, forests, lakes, etc. It should not be a problem.

Then why add continents? It sounds like this could be achieved by having a more intelligently designed atlas that generates biomes in a way that makes sense.

An intelligent design for an Atlas would also have continents with various biomes, just like planet Earth. Heck, any planet that exhibits plate tectonics would have continents by design.

Agreed, infinite maps make progression feel meaningless.
Still think Infinite Atlas needs to be redesigned into a Finite Atlas.

Breaking it into continents for different Biomes and Atlas Trees is a good idea.

I like this idea for the Atlas Passive Tree too because I wouldn't have to respec when I changed my agency. Especially if the Atlas Passive Tree was more like POE1.

For example I would like to fight against Abyss primarily in the desert, So if i had the option I would max out my Abyss nodes for that continent, and stack up abyss tablets if possible.

What's cool about Total-War Warhammer 3, a chain of mountains has a jungle on one side and desert on the other side, on a single continent. The chain of mountains have a rain shadow, causing a desert, like it would in real life.

Agreed, it would make Atlas map feel like a living breathing world instead of being artificial generated.
