Flashback Event (IC001)

I haven't played PoE in a while.

If I understand correctly, this Flashback Event also has a 5 week Flashback league? What relation does this have to the "Soulthirst" race season?

edit: oops, this league ended today. A new league started. I will understand this eventually!
