Why have you made this game so deeply twisted in its design?

My Solar Amulet. To date, I have used 32 Hinekora's Braids on it. Not once did sanctifying give me +4 to spell skills. I also had exactly one Vaal outcome that gave +1 to all spell skills.

According to the numbers on PoEDB, the chance to hit +4 through sanctifying is 4/41. That means with 32 braids, my probability of getting +4 to spell skills is 96%. Ninety-six percent. And I still haven't succeeded once. That's not even counting the odds of failing to Vaal +1 all spell skills over 32 attempts.

This is no longer about luck. This is a design that feels fundamentally broken.

I understand that the Temple economy generated far more currency than you anticipated. So in the late game, you significantly increased the rate of gear destruction (Vaal Orbs, Architect Orbs), and you even deliberately suppressed sanctifying odds. But have you ever considered the players who don't farm currency through Temple mechanics? How are we supposed to obtain the gear we want? What does it mean when a casual player can't even farm enough currency in an entire league to buy a single Hinekora's Braid?

I don't know if you actually analyze your player base. What is your operational goal? Surely it's to let players have fun while you make more money. Take me as an example. When I encounter a lucky moment in the game, I feel genuinely happy, and I'll buy the highest-tier supporter pack to celebrate. That's a win-win. And I don't consider myself greedy — what I've already spent far exceeds what the average player spends. Yet my best piece of gear still can't compare to anyone in the top 100 on poe.ninja.

So do you simply not like win-win situations? Do you want me to go to my friends with my tail between my legs, borrowing more divines, gambling endlessly, and cursing how damn awful you are? Is that truly the player experience you want to see?

"what does it mean when a casual player can't even farm enough currency in an entire league to buy a single Hinekora's Braid?"

This is one of the best lines I've seen on this forum lmao.

Someone please call the police immediately, the casuals aren't getting their Hinekoras!!

Honestly it sounds like you need a break from the game.

You are interacting solely with the slot machine mechanics, having bad luck, and frustratingly blaming "design".

Don't give up - 99% of gamblers quit right before they hit it big!
Who am I to say anything, I don't respect my time either.
Point 1: On whether casual players can afford a Braid
There's a ring item in the shop that tracks your total currency drops. In my case, the average number of divine orbs I drop per league is around 200. That's what I mean when I say a casual player might not be able to afford a single Hinekora's Braid in an entire league.

Point 2: On gambling addiction
I'll admit, I've become somewhat addicted to gambling. But please tell me — aside from farming currency to gamble with, what else in this game do you honestly find interesting at late game?

Point 3: On the "just bad luck" response
Anyone can easily dismiss another person's suffering with a lighthearted "Hang in there, you're just unlucky!" But let me ask you — when a 96% chance fails, don't you see a problem with that? Do you really think that's simply a matter of "bad luck" on my part?
