Quick question about MF mechanics – looking for confirmation:
|
From my understanding, Item Rarity (IIR) does not affect currency or Divination Cards, since those drops don’t have rarity tiers (i.e. they cannot roll as normal/magic/rare/unique items).
So effectively: Rarity (IIR) → upgrades item quality (gear only) Quantity / pack size / clear speed → determines actual currency & card drops However, I often see claims that “rarity increases currency drops” or meaningfully affects chest/strongbox rewards. 👉 My current understanding: IIR should have no impact on Divine Orbs or Divination Cards, including from chests — only IIQ and monster density matter there. Am I missing any specific mechanic, or is this just a common misconception from MF setups? If anyone has tested data, dev confirmation, or reliable sources, I’d appreciate it. Rarity affects currency in PoE 2 so that might be where that is coming from. But in PoE 1 rarity has no effect on currency drops.
Everything else is correct except rarity also increases gold drops in PoE 1 Last edited by gladiatorpie#3317 on Apr 4, 2026, 2:02:29 AM
