Possible herald of thunder bug ?

I am currently leveling a new character currently level 24 , I don't see herald of thunder skill activating when I kill a shocked enemy , I am getting buff to my spell from the herald of thunder though , i've done basics like checking if I am using supports like elemental focus that won't allow me to inflict elemental ailments etc.

I also clearly see shock percentage on monster ( ex 14%) so i am clearly shocking the enemy

Are you sure it's shock? (Chill, maybe?)
I can't find a chance to shock on your character.

crits will still shock, however they aren't very invested into crit either yet... so that would be very inconsistent... so they probably are just seeing chill(not freeze).

crits will still shock

He also has Elemental Overload.
my uptime of EO is high, suggests i deal a critical strike every so often , which should apply shock ?

unless that the shock is still less than 5% and its not being applied which i highly doubt is the case.

As of Settlers (3.25.0), in a change that was undocumented according to the wiki, hits that trigger Elemental Overload are no longer considered "crits" for the purpose of applying ailments, whereas before they were only not considered crits for the purposes of the resulting ailment.

After an undocumented mechanical change in version 3.25.0 (the stat text did not change), this stat also appears to prevent any conditional stats or interactions for ailments on critical strike.[3] For example, this prevents the inherent ability to apply elemental ailments on crit...

you were correct , it was EO that stopped herald of thunder and ice from working. thank you very much
Mojojojo
P.S herald of thunder / ice still works with EO just that it requires a bit of investment ( chance to shock , and a bit of crit )

Thank you everyone :)
