there needs to be fractional divine orb

chaos inflation is out of control and people selling for decimal like 1.3d, 2.6d are becoming harder to trade with. quite a number of things have 1 - 2d, 2 - 3d price, so decimal price is necessary not just a rounding error, and there's no good orb for decimal prices.
u dont have to introduce divine shard. just introduce a "divine token" in lani's shop, and this token cannot be dropped and does nothing, but lani will sell 1d for 10 tokens, and sell 10 tokens for 1d. this will improve trading alot. this will also solve the issue of instant buyout items not being able to list for decimal prices, many people resort to listing for chaos equivalent of the decimal price but chaos is hyper inflation on steroid. please do this, its essential to the economy since u made chaos worthless. d are the most traded orb and the equivalent of real world paper money, and there needs to be more support for it. u can even get rid of mirror shard and it wont affect the economy at all since it doesnt really serve a purpose, as mirrors are rarely used in trades and only super rich players do it anyway. Well this game is mostly designed for grown ups. Grab a calculator and figure out how many chaos a 0.5 div is. It is not hard and it trains your mathematical thinking which is seriously lacking in younger generations.
An introduction of div fractions in such a convoluted way as you propose will even cause chaos orb prices to tank even more. If it would depend on people like you, the game should literally play itself. Some friction is necessary. Heart of Purity

Just ignore players who price their stuff in fractions/decimals and keep it moving. Divine shards are a terrible idea, despite GGG already implementing a bunch of terrible ideas to begin with.
Pointless to give triple-A game companies any sort of constructive criticism without getting put on probation (or banned). GGG's downfall is drawing near.

" no its not possible. many items are 1 to 2d, 2 to 3d, and they want 2.3d, 1.6d, etc. theres a 50% increase from 2 to 3, and 100% increase from 1 to 2. its not players doing 20.1d and refusing to take 20d. there needs to be something for decimals. Improvements to the pricing is obv needed. Shards have worked out in the past why not or being able to price an item for x div + x chaos woudl also help immensly but i guess that is not allowed in game design because people don't look at the screen while clicking and complain afterwards.
But it would be my prefered solution because selling a single bloodline scarabs for 600+ chaos is idiotic and costs way to much gold. It also taxes gold double because you have to buy dozens of divs all the time after selling your stuff. Not to mention the hundreds of items right now that sell for 100ish-200ish chaos and annihilate your gold balance and drive the chaos to div ratio up. def +1 for Div shards here Last edited by Strickl3r#3809 on Apr 4, 2026, 2:35:43 AM

I'll +1 this, as long as Faustus can respect the Shards adding up to Divs and all that.
The reality is that... ... there's basically two separate worlds of currencies being traded. There's the Chaos World, and there's the Divine World. And the issue is that there is no crossover. When you're looking to buy other currencies, there are ZERO listings for anything that doesn't have Divine involved on one of the two sides. So you are either buying other currencies WITH Divines, or you're buying Divines with THOSE currencies. You cannot buy Fragments with any amount of Chaos Orbs, there are no listings. And if you make a listing, it will rot. Because they are in two different worlds. The Chaos World cannot interact with the Divine World in any way that isn't directly trading Chaos for Divines. And on that note, a single Divine is worth about 700 to 900 Chaos, which is absolutely absurd. Just in regards to raw drops, a single Divine definitely raw drops more often than 700-900 Chaos does. I'll often skip picking up Chaos Orbs, because I already have thousands, and if I ever need more, I can trade 1 Divine for a month's supply of them. When buying actual items, there are two tiers of item. There's items that are anywhere from 1 to maybe 100 Chaos, and then there are items that are worth 1+ Divine. The Chaos items are the "trash" tier. And, despite about 700 to 900 Chaos being a Divine, nothing is ever listed above 100 Chaos. You don't see items listed for 500 Chaos, no. But you'll see them listed for 1 Divine minimum. And if it were a currency, they might be 0.5 Divine. But NEVER the equivalent in Chaos Orbs. ... And that's why, no, you can't just say, "-1 we already have Chaos Orbs." So I give this a +1. |

I think it should be only allowed to put prices on .5 of a divine at most not .4 or .9 or .whatever..
but good luck getting them to change it. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
"The strange voice showed Aul a future where his legacy was forgotten, where new cultures broke themselves upon Aul's ruined world." Take me back when poe was the actual focus. |
