Make an individual Atlas map in Ruthless mode for each path! Appeal to GGG (Official)!
|
I'm asking GGG's developers for a favor about separating the atlas map for each path.
Ruthless mode is quite convenient in terms of gameplay mechanics, but leveling characters to fit the same atlas doesn't make sense. In my opinion, if each character had a separate atlas map, one could be sent to farm in the mines, another on an expedition. Consequently, builds and leveling would be much more interesting. An individual atlas does not mean leveling it up again, but only using atlas points for an individual path so that you don’t have to reset your ALL points every time for each char. Let me remind you that Rustless mode has limited resources and gold production, so reworking the same atlas every time is quite difficult and pointless. I believe that with GGG's capabilities and resources, working on this request won't present any development challenges. This post has been duplicated on Off-Topic for open discussion with players. (Why is been delete?) I expect an official discussion with the developers on Feedback. Last edited by Leidas#1840 on Apr 2, 2026, 8:42:07 AM Last bumped on Apr 2, 2026, 8:39:13 AM

" You’ve chosen ruthless mode, so naturally things are a bit more restrictive, almost as if the mode is doing exactly what it was designed to do. Hobby Gamer and Professional Software Engineer & Systems Architect from Tennessee

" Ruthless mode doesn't mean my question can't be considered. Besides, the Atlas map should logically be a standalone version, as the game is called Path of Exile. The developers will consider this issue. Last edited by Leidas#1840 on Apr 2, 2026, 8:19:24 AM

" Let’s make ‘ruthless’ slightly less ruthless, shall we? " If we treat a game’s name with even a grain of salt, we might as well consider reworking every single game ever made. But no, Atlas progression is tied to your account and league, and frankly, that’s for the best. I wouldn’t want to grind the Atlas multiple times per league on each character, that’s exactly what you’d get if every character had their own tree and progression. Be carefully with what you're asking for. They’ve already added the option to have three trees as a QoL feature, letting you switch between different farming setups. Honestly, that’s more than you’ll ever really need, even in SSF. If it’s still not enough, the same rule as ‘ruthless’ applies: you’ve signed up for a harder route. " Perhaps I expressed myself incorrectly: An individual atlas does not mean leveling it up again, but only using atlas points for an individual path so that you don’t have to reset your points every time. " You mean Kingsmarch? " Doesn't a individual Atlas complicate the gameplay? 1. Each character will level up individually for each direction (Mines, Abyss, Expeditions) or combine them as they see fit. 2. Specific items, stones, and modifiers must be sought for each character. 3. Each character will farm specific modifiers for the chosen Atlas path so that the main character can progress further. 4. Each direction in the Atlas, the character's ascension path, must be explored and experimented with. 5. Each character requires resources, and in Ruthless mode, this will be significantly more difficult. Edit: I remind you that on Softcore, you can level up an Imbalanced build through guides, which are available to everyone. Last edited by Leidas#1840 on Apr 2, 2026, 9:01:12 AM
