Why are all the events being held in PoE 2 speedruns?
Why not host at least one Gauntlet event on HC SSF? Speedruns are, In my humble opinion, complete bullshit for people who grind the very beginning of the game a billion times and just repeat the same routine. Also, there are bad actors in the community who might simply enable bad programs during the race that give them a huge advantage in speedrunning The Gauntlet challenge is better in literally every way: you don't need to trash-run Acts 10,000 times, you don't need to memorize specific moments that are only useful for Acts, and you don't have to rely exclusively on the most broken mechanics available for Acts, namely: 1. Grenades on Mercenary, Ranger, and Huntress 2. Shield Wall on Warrior, Druid, and Monk 3. And those 10-button combo combinations on Witch and Sorceress A HC SSF Gauntlet actually demonstrates at least some genuine skill at playing the game, rather than the ability to memorize micro-moments. You can achieve a lot through personal skill, using pretty much anything the game has to offer-utilizing crafting, swapping gear and skills for specific bosses. Most importantly, a Dumbbell isn't decided in a couple of hours, but over several days, which means the randomness factor (uniques dropping at start) and the impact of bad programs would be significantly reduced Obviously, of course, these bosses would need some buffs, like what was done in the Zizaran Gauntlet, so they aren't just damage sponges Final question: Why are you running speedrun events instead of Gauntlet challenges? I enjoy watching race but i couldnt do it myself. I dont think it's that easy to kill Tavakai at lvl 30 with negative resistance and blue items tough. Even more with the pressure of a race timer.
I would like to try some gauntlet too, it might be more my type of thing. I believe this will come when the game is on full release. It's probably a bit too much atm to organise them and would probably require more/harder end game content. SSF-HCSSF player
