Hacked and permanently banned

Hello everyone,

I abandoned the game for a few months since I was playing on a very bad PC. When I upgraded, I returned to PoE 1 in this new league, excited since everyone was talking wonders about it, and when I tried to log into the game... I was banned. I found that weird since the only thing I use when playing is a filter, almost never use the chat, and I don't really play a lot, I take a whole week to get to maps since I'm slow.

When I went to the forum, I saw that I could appeal the ban, thinking this had to be some kind of mistake, especially since I hadn't played the game almost since the release of PoE2 early access, in which I played until the wolf boss, probably 10 hours swapping characters.

I waited for a response to my appeal for days, and then I noticed something weird: I had a lvl 97 character in PoE 2. There I knew I was hacked. I rushed to the forum and found my e-mail was changed, or an e-mail that isn't mine was added since I log in with Steam, not requiring an e-mail.

I contacted support, and they said that the ban team was looking into it. Later I reported I was hacked, and the only response I got was that I am permanently banned and a second appeal is impossible.

I have spent some money on this game, made friends, and found cool streamers. I have characters that are nostalgic to me since I remember how it was to play my first ARPG.

I have literally nothing else to do about this situation. I will be playing in this account for now, but probably once I'm done with this league, I will abandon the game forever. It is my favorite game, but since the developers don't care about the players, why would I care about the game?
