Omen of Blanching changing sockets

Omen of Blanching states: changes 3 sockets to white when used with a chromatic orb.
It used to be rolling 1 to 3 random sockets and changing them to white, now it's rerolling all the socket colours!!

I just wanted to add 1 white socket to my armor to swap a gem and test some stuff out, now I have the "pleasure" of re-colouring the darn thing...

If Omen of Blanching didn't change any socket colors except the ones it changed to White, you wouldn't need to use the expensive Harvest craft to change a random socket's color to white to get 6 white sockets on an item.

Instead, you can find crafting videos that are several years old telling you to do 3 sockets with the omen, and color the other 3 with the Harvest craft.

Or better yet: benchcraft back to 3 sockets, use omens until 3 sockets are white, then benchcraft sockets until you get your desired colors and relink.
