Templar - [3.28] Doryani's Fist mana stacking Seven Teachings Hierophant - Forum

Intro
I want to share this character I made, cosplaying Dominus as mana stacking old dude with Doryani's Fist and diamond shrine belt.

Overview

Pros:
- Fewer buttons to press
- Looks alright
- Lots of uniques so not much crafting needed
- Become Dominus (with templar so its lore accurate)

Cons:
- Not a budget build
- Melee
- Cant see anything on the ground
- Small hit pool (rely heavily on block)

Build Description:

- Use Mind of the Council and archmage support and stack mana as much as possible for both attack and spell lightning damage.

- Use diamond shrine belt and Marylene's Fallacy for 100% crit and high crit multiplier as we know Doryani's Touch has 0% crit to start with.

- Use new currency Refracting Fog to craft giga attack speed cluster jewel to compensate attack speed punishment from Doryani's Touch.

- Use Seven Teachings built-in CoC to shoot out any spells you like.

Equipment and other gear:

Weapon
No weapon because we are using fist xd

Body

Good to have corrupt like +1 gem, damage or crit damage reduction.
What I found out is with lightning conduit and any spell the threshold of attack speed is around 5.09, any more attack speed lowers my dps.

Shield

I use Svalinn here but for more budget option you can try Aegis Aurora ,
Dawnbreaker or Rare shield with life, mana, attack speed and good block chance.

Gloves

The main character. I suggest to use foulborn version for sap and volatile vaal orb for higher damage.

Amulet

Helmet

I giga suggest to use one with lightning damage leech corruption to save passive point on tree. Good mana roll as well.

Boots

I use double elevated boots for speed but Ralakesh's Impatience with endurance charge is also good choice, as well as Skyforth and good rare boots.

Belt

Rings

Rare ring for missing resistance and life mana. Crit multi and attack speed are extra.

For dense map you can swap in foulborn Berek's Respite for better clearing.

Jewels

Cluster jewel are big source of attack speed and mana, imo they are a must for templar to use doryani fist. I was lucky to find a Megalomanic with both mana leech and es leech, if you couldnt get one just use a regular large cluster with Refracting fog tech.

Elegant Hubris for Supreme Ostentation so we dont have to worry about Item requirements, pair with Impossible Escape we can get many block chance around Pain Attunement area.

We solve resistance penetration with Inquisitor's Inevitable judgement, for budget version you can simply use curse ,lightning penetration and exposure on tree and cluster.

More regular jewels many archmage builds use.

If you dont have enought attack speed I suggest to switch faster attack speed support with crit damage support.
