Dancing Dervish could use a Buff

The skill hasn't been buffed since 3.11 (I don't consider the 3.17 changes a buff), and it didn't actually do much, if at all. The swords are still so much weaker than basically any other Minion skill in the game.

The main way it's being used now is for Hollow Palm Technique. Almost nobody bothers with the actual skill anymore because the scaling is so bad compared to what you get in return for all the effort put in. I could make a very basic Soulwrest build with bare minimum investment and it would beat the absolute shit out of Dervish numbers-wise. Or SRS. Or skelly mages. Or Spectres. Or... you get the point.

It's either Poison or go home (and even that sucks). I'm honestly so sick of the Poison meta. Worst diversity change ever.

The Foulborn version is a different option now at least, but still not worth the extreme effort required to make the swords deal any meaningful damage. I really miss Impale Dervish from back in the day. Was my Uber Elder farm carry in 3.8, but it has only ever gotten worse after patch 3.9 that doubled monster HP.

I'd like the Dervishes to be back as a viable skill, best as a standalone, so I propose the following changes:

• At least triple its base damage (yes, seriously!), i.e. the sword gets a 650-680% increased Physical Damage (local) modifier
• 60% less Damage with Ailments (or just disable them entirely)
• Cannot have other Minions
• (Maybe) Cannot deal Damage other than Physical
• Hits always inflict Impale

Using a Chaos/Poison based Necro PoB from 3.25 with 9M DPS per sword with Abyss jewel stacking as my baseline, applying the above by giving the sword 680% increased Phys scaling and 60% less Damage with Ailments, said build loses ~16% total DPS. However, the previous 18M DPS with such crazy investment is honestly pathetic by today's standards anyway.

My proposed changes would bring back hit based Dervish that isn't the same aura stacking/curse stacking/jewel stacking shit every single time. It would give the swords a unique identity and flair, rather than being just another Minion skill that slaps on the usual Poison or converted damage paired with AG and Spectre buffs and whatnot.
