QoL - A way to lock items to your character

Ok I know. Live and learn and somethings things happen.

Accidently dropped a mirror tier ring last night while swapping equipment on controller. Sucks to be me right? I know I'm not the only person who's had an unfortunate accident and sold, salvaged, dropped, corrupted an item on accident.

Can we have a QoL feaure that protects us from ourselves and would allow you to "lock" an item to your character, account or prevent it from being modified?

If we could toggle a setting on a piece of gear that would prevent it from being, dropped, modified, traded or placed on a vendor until you toggle it back would have saved me from myself.

Kinda like a seatbelt :)

We were supposed to get the equipment lock back in the abyss update, I don't remember the reason it was postponed but it will eventually be a feature.
