Something seems off with writhing/polaric invite drops

On ruthless and noticed the previous evening I had three of the screaming invitations waiting to be run in my stash but not a single writing invitation.

I doubled checked my item filters to make sure the ruthless filter wasn't accidently making the invitation small and not stand out as I normally wouldn't leave an invite on the ground.

My initial thought was the voidstone socketed into the quadrant of the map I am running when it would drop converting the invite to gold if it considered it as a T15 or lower "map" or possibly fighting a map boss inside a mirage and it counting the kill towards the progression but not dropping the invitation.

Same on not ruthless, I've lost around 5-6 invitations already, sometimes bosses just don't drop them, probably some kind of a bug with boss kill counter and capability of dropping invitations from the mirage bosses, like you should get it from a mirage boss according to counter, but mirage isn't spawned on top of the boss so you don't get the invitation drop and also counter rolls over so you don't get it from the next boss either.

Are you running the 10% chance to award double progress? My understanding is that you can skip over the # that drops either the mid-boss or the actual boss invitations. So at 14 and 28 is when the invitation drops, but if you keep proccing the 10% on the map that would reward the invitation, no invitation will drop.

Are you running the 10% chance to award double progress? My understanding is that you can skip over the # that drops either the mid-boss or the actual boss invitations. So at 14 and 28 is when the invitation drops, but if you keep proccing the 10% on the map that would reward the invitation, no invitation will drop.

Yes, but it never happened to me in all previous leagues and I always spec that node. In case of proccing on the map with invitation drop, it would still drop an invitation and just count additional progress point.

Happened again, without that node specced.

It seems there is a way to both duplicate and skip over invitations this league, but I don't have enough mental investment atm to figure out what causes it.

I was doing Abominations last night with Exarch and managed to leave with 2 Polaric invitations in my inventory. I believe I did the Mirage first and then the boss, so I went 13->14, went back into main map, was "technically" at 13 again, then procced to 14 again for second invite drop. But not 100% on the order as rare occasions I did the main boss first.

I did have the 10% dupe, so I could have gone 12->14 or 13->15, didn't check. And not sure how to translate that into what causes the skip over of the 14 proc, without the dupe node. But seeing as its most likely Mirage related, maybe something to check for if you are doing boss first or Mirage first?

out of curiosity which layouts are you running?

I am wondering if this is caused by the mirage layout spawning the boss but a bug is making it inaccessible(door/portal to arena missing)... or straight bugged(like the city square boss likes to be)...
