Why is the game so stingy on gold?

first league, having a blast and loving the game.
between kingsmarch and fees for buying gear, i cannot seem to keep my gold up.

ive min/maxed my kingsmarch workers to have low wage cost that i can possibly get which also drains gold bank.

wanted to play a new char so i leveled them to maps.
bought some new gear
now broke and back to playing the character i was bored playing.

you can say "ok boomer" or "skill issue" i dont really care, just wanted to voice my opinion as a new player and say that the gold costs make my pp soft and not want to play.

hoho I remember when there was no gold, good times.

If you expect to run 3 sets of mappers + all lvl 5 farmers for several days while making a new char than those are certainly very high expectations.
I have 1,5 mio spare gold and i just use mappers, no farmers, no ore for me. Plenty of gold comes from Mirages but i don't expect to have it all, all the time. And i would never pump all gold in the town. Always keep a couple of hundred k in your inventory, so you never run into issues when trading.
