End-game changes are obvious.

I don't know why people are speculating about the end-game when it's obvious that all they're going to do is make the atlas map have one map each and be repeatable like poe1. With a major expansion to the atlas passive tree. They're not going to abandon the entire system they've been working on and incorporate mechanics into the tree as every farm would be too imbalanced if you specced into everything.

Well they talked about quickly throwing together this endgame before Dec 2024. They talked about trying to fix it for so long and it just wasn't working.
These all seem like clues to them scrapping it. I'm not saying they won't reuse assets, but it'll work very differently from what we have today. Hopefully. |

well, they have applied their ideas about maps to poe1 as well.
which made me quit poe1 lol but yea it seems they are pretty serious about it. I imagine it wont be changed much and in fact expanded and improved. this is a strong bet that they have made. they will stick with it until forced away. criticism here and there wont shake them. though they are probably considering improvements... just not throwing the baby out with the bath water. you think that baby is a turd, I'm not entirely convinced its not. but they are not convinced. best bet is constructive criticism which might improve the situation over time. I dont think they will give up on it right away. also consider sunk cost fallacy. they have invested a lot of time in this atlas. smart as anyone is, if imperfect is functional? you keep it. pragmatism. this is a business. |

" Exactly. People are expecting some completely alternative end-game but it's going to be the same atlas with adjustments. It'll functionally be poe1 atlas but look like the current one. |
