Why is a 1.5 mirror build deleted by a single mod on a rare monster
|
My build is running on a permanent Flask reset, but Flask siphoner doesn't want me to have fun playing this game. Thanks GGG.

This is the result of GGG forcing Archnemesis into the game with all the bad modifiers even though almost everyone hates this mechanic. Not only that, but through many patches they have giga-nerfed the rewards part of it(deleted huge exp bursts from random rares, FAR less fractured items dropping from rares, conversion mods much rarer and so on).
So now its just a mechanic that makes monsters more annoying with no actual reward tied to it. Lifelong NEET, loud and proud about it.

I feel that pain...
I mean, I have pretty decent int stack power siphon at standard that would take forever to kill a "crit resistent" with some other mods rare monster. Feels like my damage on thoses monsters is like 1% of what it should be... In top of that, playing PoE got boring AF, so, who cares? Exiles, pffff!

" There is a number of Archnemesis mods that counter particular build-enabling mechanics: charge removal, proximity shield, mana drain, hexproof, can't be leeched from, etc. For a mirrior budget you may want to find a build that doesn't get rendered useless by something as simple as a single rare mod. |
|
" Fair point. Also, who spends mirrors on a char without knowing its downsides beforehand. Like if you would buy a car only to realize your three kids wont fit in. if you nerf 10 gems out of 30, you automatically buff the other 20!

I agree about droughtbringer.....
BUT $$$ does not equal power in this game. You could be decked out in multiple mirrors of gear: if your build and your playstyle is shit you are gonna get your ass handed to you. Conversely, you could be decked out in less than 100 divines and be totally unkillable. Even way less. Starting anew....with PoE 2

" I miss Archnemesis as a league mechanic. It would've fit in better than Metamorph as a build-a-boss league with the original AN mods that were exclusive to said archnemesis. It was even more rewarding by comparison. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! The others found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on juice. I am not so foolish. |

" I enjoyed the league itself too(apart from the bad inventory UI that you had to sort yourself). It had actual cool rewards, I liked that the pantheon-touched mobs had crazy conversion mods. It was fun. The problem is that its been stripped down to only the downsides, which make monsters more annoying to fight and pretty much 95% of the rewards have been deleted lmao, archnemesis's implementation into the core game is horrible. The league was fine while it was running. Lifelong NEET, loud and proud about it.
