We should talk about Doryani's Machinarium

Nobody runs this map for any reason other than to complete the one challenge that it is part of (each season).

Should it really be so rare that the average price for the map is consistently 18-19 divine (each season)?

I don't understand/(agree with?) the reasoning here. The challenge that it's a part of (this season) includes 16 other maps. I think that there is an argument to be made that this just creates an arbitrary barrier for completion.

The other thing, that I think you are missing is what challenge really means...

So, yeah, no sympathy. Get it, or don't. The folks that do take the time and put forth the effort will always revel in the fact that you don't.

For the record, I am not one of the folks that give a shit either way. 40/40 or 0/0, no sweat off the small of my back.

If you want 40/40 and neither want to grind nor want to pay for it then you've picked the wrong goal for yourself.

Who cares about 20div at the end of a league anyway? Won't make a dent in your standard stash and I doubt there are many people with 39/40 that don't have 20 div to spare right before quitting the league.

If you don't mind to actually play the game you can farm it in the Mine. It is the Aztech like temple boss that drops it. The boss is not that rare, i think it's more common than Aul. The boss also has no relevant depth requirement, somewhere around 100 should be just fine, so you can basicly level a new character while farming for that map.

Obv it's way faster to just buy it, just look at the prices at Faustus people overpay liek crazy for all kinds of stuff. So, it's equally easy to earn 20 div than it is to spend it.

In trade just plan ahead & buy it early on before the price hits 4 div then charge 5 randoms 1 div each to run it with you.

Even then, if you desperately want 40/40 what's keeping you from migrating to trade and buying it there when you quit the league? You should have plenty of stuff to liquidate even if you don't have the 20d in cash. You could even spend half a day to level a new character specifically for this purpose if you don't want to migrate your main(s). Still probably faster (and definitely less RNG-dependent) than farming the map yourself in SSF.

40/40 is already too easy to get
