Portal magnetism and other game design choices/updates/bugs becoming a confluence of frustration

I don't know when the portal click size/magnetism type effect was put in but it drives me crazy.
Combine that with whatever weird update that made shaders constantly be hammered when you go to an uncommon area causing you to feel like youre back in the stone ages of HDD gaming even though you spent high hundreds of dollars on SSDs and GPUs instead of 10s on HDDs and integrated graphics. Now both of those with you have atlas mappers kidnapped. You try to run towards the fight but instead instantly go back through the portal. You discover you can't go back to the fight and the ui makes you click abandon them all if you want to continue interacting with the content as if there is some choice to be made there. You just lose 6 t5 mappers that costs 100s of thousands of gold to replace along with time constantly rerolling. All of these elements are bad on their own but have combined for me into an extremely frustrating negative experience. Last bumped on Mar 23, 2026, 11:31:10 PM
