New player question Black Zenith Gloves

I am trying the gloves with rejuvenation totem. But like some bosses or rares don't trigger avenging flame. Are there workarounds for untauntable enemies? I am trying to use mines to trigger or fill in damage gaps.
Also Are there any workarounds for the cooldown?5 seconds currently with the +4 modifier. Thanks
