589,297,696 Cannot exit cold river arena elder guardian map

Completed cold river as an elder guardian map. After killing the Purifier, the arena exit icon is at the bottom of the stairs from the circular arena proper but I cannot go past the door leading from the circular arena and access the stairs.

Thus bricks the map if I have not completed other content. I am writing my congressman to shed light on this tragedy.
