Microtransactions demo feature request
|
While browsing microtransanction (I'll shorten to mtx) shop, I find some things looking very cool, but after looking at stationary images (and pre-recorded videos of their in-game appearance), I still can't quite get a taste of what they really are. I'll give some examples!
Recently, I thought about buying a new portal mtx and put my finger on a crab trapdoor one (which is very cool conceptually), but I wasn't sure it would fit my hideout and map device. Turned out, it really doesn't fit, so I had to apply for a refund. While I'm thankful to the support team for my request being satisfied at all as an exception, this could have been avoided in the first place, had I been able to see a demo of the portal mtx Another thing happening recently was my search for a weapon effect which would look cool with my `flicker strike` gem (while there are effects designed specifically for the gem, some weapon effects glow enough to provide some futuristic/smoothly moving glow). I finally picked one, but for that, I had to find a player playing flicker with a lot of mtxs already bought so he could help me choose while demonstrating effects as we were in a map What I'm trying to say is, a demo feature would simplify life for people like me a lot when it comes to the choice of MTXs. I am personally a relatively new player (Mirage is my second league in PoE 1), and I want to buy a couple of MTXs, but I don't know if they would combine well (or if they would look good in-game separately). PoE 2 has this feature implemented in some way, but still not fully Different cool MTXs are present in abundance, but it's really hard to choose one (or couple) for new players not just from the point of large assortment but from the point of purely UI/UX complications, so I would really appreciate if this aspect of the game will be improved :) Last edited by Alpaca#6144 on Mar 21, 2026, 11:27:51 AM Last bumped on Mar 21, 2026, 11:25:31 AM
