GPU / Visual Crashing to Black when in mapping content / attacking. New MTX might be responsible.

Started having sever crashes and audio issues as of today.





I purchased the new MTX for Sigil of Power and Shock Nova of Procession today. That may be relevant.

I'm using Shock Nova of Procession, with Obliteration (Explodey Wand).

GPU: XFX 7900 XTX
CPU: 7800 X3D
RAM: GSKILL Trident Z5 - DDR5
PSU: 900W
OS: Windows 11 Latest (Not beta)
GPU Drivers: 26.1.1 and 26.3.1.







What happens:

When I start fighting in the map the GPU driver seems to hang / crash. Sometimes when launching the client the audio driver hangs as well. Might be unrelated.

The crash is a black screen with the gears spinning as it comes back to life. UI and healthbar(s) move around normally during this period. Character keeps attacking while the game hangs.

Often repeatable, then stops being something I can reproduce. Most recently occurred adjacent to a Ritual Altar. Might be irrelevant.

Hope this can be resolved or advice can be given on what to do.

Am I the only one with this issue?

I fear this might be AMD driver related since I'm having the same issue of drivers crashing and screen going black.

Currently on newest 26.3.1 drivers.

Only crashing on breach+beyond maps so they are 100% related to the issue.

EDIT: Not running any specific MTX on my character.

I am experiencing the same issue with the 7900 XTX. It could be related to the latest drivers as I didn't experience any issues with the previous league.

I got the 7900 xtx +7800x3d and been battling the issue for like a year.
Sometimes nothing happens for hours sometimes two times in 15 minutes.
Used to recent drivers and just did a roll back to 25.9.1 but still crashed.

Almost as annoying is the random pauses the game makes trying to figure out stuff.
My guess is something with the shaders.

5800x3d + 7800xt


Screen goes black (looks like a driver crash) then 10-20 sec later the game is on login screen with unexpected disconnect message.

Also doing very juiced Breach Deli Beyond with over 20k kills per map
