Screen shift when opening the inventory or character screen

Please make it optional. Please add a checkbox is settings, with a label probably "show side panels as overlay, without shifting the screen".
I (and probably others) want that when I open the inventory, character screen or other similar side panel, then the main view remains unchanged (except that part of it will be covered up by the popped-up window).


(There are [at least, may be] a couple of other, minor things with this view-shifting. Some "animation", and/or some temporarily extreme distortion. But, the main thing is above. Not only that minor things are unwanted (for some people), but the whole screen-moving ["auto-center the character"] behaviour.)

I think it is a request that would be trivial to satisfy. When popping up some side panel, instead of doing some (very complex) things (with the rest of the display), simply do nothing.

(My current graphics settings are: windowed fullscreen mode, directx12. But probably the feature is independent of that.)
