Lost my mappers while rescuing them by misclicking the portal

Just started the game and saw that my mappers were captured.
I opened the portal to rescue them.
The zone has loaded, but the first click I've made accidentally was on the portal back to Kingsmarch.

So I've lost my mappers.

The same scenario once I've experienced while rescuing my ship time ago.

Kindly ask you,
Please do not disable the Rescue button if the player immediately returns through the portal from the encounter.

Losing top-tier sailors and mappers is disappointing.
