What is this atlASS?

I get a T2 blighted map and it's labeled as Ashen Wood. I can't use it until I run the actual Ashen Wood map? It's not letting me plug it into the atlas. I really don't know how you did it, but you did it. You really made mapping even more janky than it's ever been
WAIT.. WTF.. Ashen Wood is T11? So I have to wait until I reach T11 before I can run a T2 blighted map? WEIRD game mechanics Last edited by Durf#2997 on Mar 19, 2026, 5:50:31 AM Last bumped on Mar 19, 2026, 10:16:13 AM

You need 'blighted lands' node which is southwest from the centre

Need to explore the atlas to reveal the special nodes/boss nodes. My friend rushed 1 corner to T16s so never discovered the eater/exarch miniboss nodes so he was sitting on those invitations from the quest unable to use them.
The devs expect you to do map progression tier by tier, first all t1s, then all t2s so on. By the time you complete all t11s for example, you will have discovered those miniboss nodes exactly at the time that they drop from the eater/exarch questlines. Its pretty smart how its designed. After I had completed all my regular maps I got Eagon's and the Eater/Exarch voidstone and instantly socketed them in. And then just bought a cheap Maven invite after finishing her 10-boss quest invitation to get that one, and did a regular Shaper and Elder since I had 4x of each guardian map saved up because I clicked all the nodes for guardian map % drop chance. Progression felt smoother, faster and more streamlined than ever. I love this new map system where every map is a generic Waystone now. Don't remember where Blighted Lands was exactly but it was somewhere in the middle, you probably have to be done with yellow maps or be in early reds to uncover it? Lifelong NEET, loud and proud about it. Last edited by Toforto#2372 on Mar 19, 2026, 10:17:01 AM
