Desync

Have been encountering some desync and rubber banding during the league. It's been almost a decade since I've encountered a problem like this. Wondering what likely causes are and if there anything I can do to prevent it. I've tried busting out /oos, didn't seem to fix it. I've also noticed some other players encountering it on the forum, so I'm wondering if it is likely to be on my end or something more wide spread.
It's very minor currently, not preventing me from playing the game, which otherwise has been flawless during the league, I've been lucky enough to not encounter many of the technical issues some player have been having. I'd still prefer not to have it as I'm playing HC. Seems to be somewhat related to movement skill use, or at least that is when I'm noticing it. In Options > Game the Networking Mode is likely set to Auto, and going with Predictive. If you change it to Lockstep, any further desync should become effectively impossible.
If the above hypothesis is correct, the client would be looking at a three-digit ping before it decides to accept the risks of Predictive in a bid to improve perceived latency.
