Why were orbs of horizons deleted?

As per heading. Just seems silly we cannot use maps that aren't on our map tree.

Think they went because of the atlas changes, it doesn't exactly fit with the generic map items, and because harbinger was removed. I see what you are saying though.

Annoying thing is i have a couple of blighted maps that are hard to get early game and for instance 1 is a level 2 map while on my atlas it is a level 7 map.
No big deal but having horizon orbs would fix that. Just makes no sense for them to be eliminated - at least for me.

I see. How does it work with blighted maps at the moment? I saw there was a node for it, blighted lands, do you not just load them there?
