Mine Mastery Question...
|
Can someone please explain to me how the following two Mine mastery skills actually work?
- Each Mine applies 2% increased Damage taken to Enemies near it, up to 10% - Each Mine applies 2% reduced Damage dealt to Enemies near it, up to 10% On the surface, it seems these two skills would just cancel each other out. Additionally, why would I ever select a skill that reduces my damage? I do see what I assume is the important bit of phrasing: "damage taken to enemies" versus "damage dealt to enemies". I feel this word choice is important, but for the life of me I cannot understand what the difference is. Can anyone clear this up for me? Last bumped on Mar 17, 2026, 4:50:58 PM

The wording can certainly be a bit confusing so I'll rephrase them for you.
" Enemies take 2% increased damage per mine near them, up to 10%. " Enemies deal 2% reduced damage per mine near them, up to 10%. The reason it is phrased confusingly is because "increased Damage taken" and "reduced Damage dealt" are common key-phrases you'll find repeatedly on items, gems and other passives skills and GGG often favours consistancy. |
