Sceptre of God, can't see where I'm going

I can enter the Sceptre of God, but as I approach the plaque, the view is obscured by the "ceiling." The corner map and the overlay map are fine, but I can't actually see where I'm going or the creatures that I'm trying to fight because the screen is green. I can see everything in the Imperial Gardens and Sarn Encampment and have had no other problems leading to this quest.
