Advice on experimental build
|
Hi.
Got a bit bored of my league starter and decided to transition to something a bit less janky. The idea is this: CoC Cyclone with two nova spells. Try to take advantage of the new coins to add a 9+ link build (if I get CoC on cyclone -one can wish- I'd add Firestorm of Meteors, and then some extra lvl1 support for each of the 3 spells, having 3 spells total plus cyclone). For now, I'm using a Spiritblade Together with lycosidae so I don't have to worry about accuracy. I plan to craft an Eventuality Rod with "hits can't be evaded" later on. I'd like to know if more experienced players see potential in this concept and, if so, what would be some must have things for a build like this? Right now I'm playing a Warden, since Unbound gives me 100% more elemental damage whether it's attacks or spells, and a double The Taming. I'm also going for a triple elemental Herald combo with Replica Alpha's Howl to add more damage to the mix. I'm a bit weak right now and I reckon this build won't scale too well but my main goal is to make as much use of the coin mechanic as possible, as it's the most unique aspect of the league I'd say. Thank you for your time. Last bumped on Mar 17, 2026, 10:19:46 PM

Only 1 gem linkgroup can be imbued with another supportgem.
Which means its ging to be a 7link at best and renders the idea DoA. |

" Ooooh... So the imbued support gem is local to the gem. That makes a lot more sense that what I interpreted hahaha. Still, the idea is having 4 skills doing damage simultaneously, empowered independently. Would that work if I get generic elemental modifiers like more elemental damage from Unbound, maybe try to stat-stack with Fractal Thoughts, etc? Or without a proper gem setup it would be all moot? What if I get a ton of flat damage from murder jewels with a Replica Shroud of the Lightless? Thank you for your time! |

UPDATE:
I decided to just focus on CoC imbued on Cyclone to cast Shock Nova. I comboed the anarchic blade with Unyielding Flame (although Leper's Alm is good too for better survivability) and it worked OK-ish. Can survive T16s comfortably if not for the occasional death to some ground nuke. The problem is... I didn't know how to scale the build further other than doing this: CoC Prismatic Warden I switched to Replica Bitter Dream + The Squire. Now the build is much smoother. Clears quicker, has no mana issues despite having so many supports, charges Unbound pretty fast and with the tincture it can get up to 2.3M damage. The problems are: - Extremely vulnerable to slows. Maybe I'll get Aul's ascendancy instead of Ritual's and with it I could get immunity to action speed slows. - Very little return on investment. I spent many divs to make it work and, while I clear maps OK, I don't think this build looks like able to ever do T17s or Delirium. Haven't seen the whole list of challenges (I'd be happy to get just the armour just to not have all of my armours dark black) but I think it'd be hard to do get them with this build. - Very small AoE and it's a melee build. I'm thinking about maybe using this build to try to farm some wealth back while I think about a more reliable build that works well on controller (I've done some tanky 7M damage builds but that were too clunky on controller to enjoy), but I leave this build experiment here in case a veteran player can give me some ideas to make this build work (if it's possible at all, I know it's quite brain-farty). Thanks in advance. Cheers. |
