Volatile Vaal Orb +3 to +4? (Answered)

Can it turn Cold Iron Point +3 into +4?

All the info out there suggests it can (0.78x to 1.22x and it rounds up) but I'm going through PoE Ninja on lvl 100s with 300Div gear and they're still rocking +3 corrupted cold iron points. I can't find a single person with a +4 on ninja or trade... so I'm starting to doubt.

Is it bugged? Am I throwing my currency into the void spamming for the +4? This is the type of thing I don't like as the game gives next to no clarification of how these Orbs function.

EDIT: Ok I found the answer is YES it can go to +4 100%. Not sure around the odds, but there's a 2 mirror of kalandra +4 forbidden rite replica dragonfang's flight so my sanity has been replenished <3

To get +4 with Volatile Vaal Orb, you need the item to not be destroyed (50%), roll of 3 (50%), and then hit one of the top multiplier rolls 1.17–1.22 (6/45) — for an overall chance of 1 in 30 (~3.33%) per attempt.

To reach >95% +4 hit chance, you need about 89-90 attempts

I'm approaching 80 attempts with no success, i suggest buy one later if you want to stay sane
