Through Sacred Ground quest

Greetings all, over the past three days I have been unable to complete the quest. I get to the altar and am able to interact with it but the Golden Hand does not drop. This has happened through resetting the instance and relogging. I have not done the White Beast quest yet but in the past I remember being able to trigger the quest as soon as you get into the boss room. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Edit: Nvm, I just checked my quest log and it was marked completed but I don't remember ever picking up the Golden Hand and turning in the quest. Case closed?
