always logging into Texas realm even tho im selected on the canada(east) realm on log in....

I am always in the Texas server realm, regardless of which server i set to with a lower ping. I am always sitting at 120ish ping in the Texas realm and the game is unplayable for me. are there any ways to get around this? why does this happen when i am trying multiple servers and am always ending up in Texas servers????
