If your friend did not previously have any Voidstones, then map completion won't happen.

"Reworked the system for catching up Atlas progress on Standard. Now, if your account has previously acquired any Voidstones, completing any node on the Atlas will complete every node of the same tier and lower."

I do not and will not use TFT.

Yeah rough. Answer will be as above, if they have not completed void stone.

GGG, please put some time into developing this.

In my opinion the system needs to achieve three things:

-Let players who have completed progress in a permanent league, retain their completion or at the very least, equivalent completion. Regardless, of how much or little completion they have. This should include progress migrating from child league into parent league.

-Prevent this completion being obtained from any gimmick, purchase, or carry, that involves having the player not of completed each map, or equivalent, that they are get credit for completing.

-Have the system be automatic, or at the least, completely obvious how it works and accessible to facilitate at all times, equally, across all relevant leagues and game types. Without exception, and without need of anything beyond having achieved the progress.

The current and preceding system achieves none of these.

If there is a need to have a reset available, for players that want to play through the changes, as though it was fresh, then have that as an optional reset. Not a forced reset! Personally I don't see the need for it, especially when playing in the fresh league is available, but potentially some players may want the option. Add it in if necessary, it does not interfere with ability to implement the three necessary points listed above. Just making it completely obvious that if players choose that, they will be getting a full reset on the atlas.

From what I can tell, the main reason for these systems being implemented they way they have, is because there is a certain level of complexity with the rotating map pool, but more so that the maps actually change level within this rotation. Given the base maps are now homogenous, and only selected in type by the player when they interact with the map, the suggested properties above should be even easier to achieve, and probably should have been implemented as part of this atlas rework. If the player has completed x maps of each tier, they should retain that, and the topology they have created on the atlas. Next league, please have something that achieves this as a minimum, or is able to improve on what I am suggesting. I'm one, unpaid player without unlimited knowledge of how the game works. I'm sure something can be designed that eclipses my suggestion. What has been used over the past history of the game, is far, far worse, and hasn't been given attention, beyond some afterthought, band aid solutions, like the one that seems to have been implemented most recently.

In my opinion, it is the most important thing, to have functional. Players progress is the bedrock of the game. Even for players that just play league and never interact with the parent leagues. It is important that the progress is going somewhere, and not just into the void. Just the same as it is with finding items and character experience. Having it removed for non-sensical reasons, or needing years of built up knowledge, and fastidious patch note reading and preparation, should not be needed to retain progress in a permanent league. It's the kind of thing that gets players very offside, and doesn't seem to meet the benchmark set with the rest of the game.

I can't run any maps in standard and I have all my viodstones nothing seems to work properly
Not sure about that one. I'm not in standard myself. What map are you trying to run, just one on one of the atlas starting nodes?

What is happening exactly, is it brining up the map slots? What is the map item you are using/ Is it one of the new generic map bases?

I think with these major atlas reworks, they usually do it at the same time. So you can't open maps either? I'm pretty sure other players have been able to continue mapping in standard. That would be a pretty major thing if standard players could not access the mapping at all.

Can you guys describe exactly what is happening? I did a test on my standard account. I was able to run a map, and maps had been automatically converted to the new system. I think I didn't have void stones in standard, so it can not use the catchup, and got 31 points, which I assume is from unique completion and some other various things, like probably Maven quest. This is what normally happens when they do these changes, without using a legacy map catchup.

Can some of you not run maps at all? Unsure what the cause of that would be, it may not even be related to the catchup system.

"Fixing an issue where users in permanent leagues are unable to progress their Atlas state."

Is on their know issue list, unsure if that relates to what some of you are encountering or not.
