Map device shown in mini map but not on screen

In my hideout, the map device is shown in my mini map. However, I cannot see it on my screen, so I cannot use it.

Please advise. Thanks!

Have you done the initial map in Karui Shores?

It is not clear from your post whether you have unlocked the personal Map Device yet.

Yes, I've talked to Commander Kirac and tried to put the initial map he gave me into the map device on Karuis Shores. But nothing, no activation button, or other interactive action button.

Did you choose which map to use the item on?

Your latest post just sounds like you don't know how to interact with the Map Device in 3.28 tbqh.

I only have one T1 map given to me by Kirac. Are there more maps somewhere? And there is only one map device near Kirac (downstairs) with an exclamation mark. When I put the map in (it has 20 boxes), nothing, except the two buttons on the top right screen, "Atlas Skills" and "Kirac's Vault Pass".

That's exactly what I am talking about.

In earlier leagues Kirac might have given you a Shrine Map or a Castle Ruins Map.

In Patch 3.28 GGG updated the system so that Maps just drop with a tier, and you choose which map of that tier you would like to run. So the Map Device won't offer to allow you to run the Map until you've made your selection. Click on one of the four circles surrounding the Map Device in the Atlas UI to select that Map, then it will allow you to activate a Tier 1 Map.

The 20 boxes are a small storage utility you can place Maps and Crafting Items into, so that you aren't running between your Stash and the Map Device constantly.

After choosing a Map in the Atlas UI, you can right-click the Map item to enter it into the Map Device.

(This won't work if you just use the keybind - you need to actually be using the Map Device.)
