How do I enter an itemized Alva Temple, Chronicle of Atzoatl?
|
Hi, I feel stupid, I played this game for years.
I just cannot figure out how to use the new map device with the itemized Alva Temple. I just got into maps so there is not much to see, can someone please tell me how to enter my first Alva Temple :D ![]() Last bumped on Mar 29, 2026, 1:08:31 AM

" the node for the temple is somewhere middle of the atlas, so that 100/100 is the safest way, as all the altas mist are gone This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. " Okay, I see so I have to progress the atlas, not unlock all points? Either way, it's a shame I have to progress to higher maps to use my area level 69 temple which I mostly got by running through the campaign... |

It is sticked to T3 map Necroplis in the bottom right quadrant, which is not that far from centre actually

(Edit: Apparently you can right click item, and it map will snap to location, even if it is in fog. Not sure if it works for everything, but I tested on a blight map in standard and it worked for that location.)
Yeah it's quite easy to get to if you know where it is. If you are playing the atlas bind and don't know where it is in the fog, not quite so easy, if you are wanting to run your temple early on. I think it's ok how they've done it, it's kind of interesting having it unknown, but kind of just an annoyance. It's a similar thing on some of the other interactions as well. I got my black star invitation without being connected to run it. Is it a thing where this is static now, or they are going to shuffle it round from time to time. Is it a thing where it can be data mined anyway, so they just become an extra thing to look up prior to the league start if you want to be efficient, or need to tab out of game at the point where you reach wanting to interact with it. I've played the POE2 atlas a little bit. It seems to me like this is somewhere between what they are doing there and the old atlas in POE1. I like it more here, because it is more simple and structured. In POE2 I haven't particularly enjoyed it yet, where there is a large fog that is being explored, but the area itself is not particularly interesting. I think I can see what they are trying to do. Games like HOMM have these really interesting world maps that are fun and strategic to interact with. I didn't find it to be quite so interesting in POE2 currently. I do think it is better having these atlases set up more as a geographic area than a list of connected nodes, to give the game a feeling it is part of a connected world. The implementation is important within that, because there needs to be an enjoyable reason to interact with that, and not just roadblocks with functionality. Personally I like the old atlas and am glad they brought it back in this form. I think how it's been in between was missing something. There was a lot of problem with the old one though, where optimal strategy was too much of a roadblock for casual players. Maybe this can be a better implementation.
