Fresh Gold Cost Thread

The gold cost for buying items is fun-prohibitive.

I have started some new HC characters recently. I don't have any gold stored up in HC. WHenever I get good mats and/or find something I want to trade for, the gold factor is the limiting factor on what I can buy... I can literally play for 8 hours a day, and be limited on starting characters by this gold cost.

It's honestly ridiculous. The gold cost is also tied to the item type instead of the listing price, so uniques that should be dirt cheap are now still gated behind time, practically defeating their purpose, and presuambly, making the majority unsellable (by the time I have enough gold for some of the uniques that have alch prices, I might as well be spending chaos).

Serious, in an 8 hour play session, I should have enough gold to buy anything my character can equip, like 10x over...

What kind of maps are you running? If you're actually clearing content for 8 straight hours and don't end up with millions of gold, you're either running single-mod white maps or I don't believe you.

-1 to this thread. Gold costs exist for a reason, and if anything they need to be significantly higher because we still have too many item-flipping hideout warriors.
Presumably, campaign maps.

You can always do manual trade, that doesn't cost any gold. But note that you need to get to level 25 to be able to give orbs. (Or is that only for brand new accounts ?)

Relatively high gold costs in semi-automatic trade at start are also presumably there to avoid abuse with new characters / accounts ?
When you cant post the items you farm and then have to change strats just to get the said items posted it needs a serious rework.

I would prefer just removing the gold cost all together to trade items.

If the reason it is in place is to reduce bots then why implement something that hurts more legit players than the bots. How about just address the situation rather than hurting the player base that has nothing to do with bots or botting.

Pretty much if anything adjustments need to go up

Mash the clean
I am running alch-and-go maps with essences and red altars, no juicing. It's nothing spectacular, and there are a ton of better ways to farm, but I almost have 400k from a batch of 20 maps. Just like currency, there are also much better options for gold farm than this.

This isn't to brag or flex, because I acknowledge that what I'm doing isn't the best of what's possible. If anything, it's likely on the lower end of what one can do. The takeaway here is that the more one juices their maps, the more gold one typically pulls from them. Blight, despite being heavily nerfed this league, is a great source of gold, given enough juice.

I don't know what you are doing OP, but I think you need to put in a little more effort for your gold.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

The others found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on juice. I am not so foolish.
