Stuck on Inventory Tab (Xbox Series X)

Randomly, when I go to adjust skills or view my character screen, the left/right bumper will close the menu instead of moving between tabs. I then have to exit the game and log back in to be able to move between tabs. This is beginning to occur more frequently.
